Improved bank reconciliation
Bank reconciliation is a key task for businesses, and needs to be performed efficiently and consistently. This new release provides better automation for cheque ledger entries, improving the matching success rate and the speed of the bank reconciliation process. The test report has also been improved to facilitate detection of direct postings to the GL account, which are often the cause of errors.
Improved account schedules renamed “financial reporting”
To make it easier for new and existing Business Central users alike to grasp the concepts, account schedules will be renamed to financial reporting. The feature has also been improved to provide a better overview of available reports by making it possible to store variants of the same report as separate reports.
Power Apps and Power Automate support for attachments
The integration between Business Central and the Power Platform has been improved further, including Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps. One of our favourite features is the possibility to attach and access documents, media, and other data linked to business records. Coupled with the capabilities of Power Apps and Power Automate, this opens up infinite possibilities to make the most of your data and files.
Excel layouts available from report request page
New reporting features and enhancements will provide users with more flexibility and control. For example, they will now be able to choose their desired Excel layout directly from the report’s request page. A simple drop-down menu will display available Excel layouts for the user to choose from, making it easier to use various report layouts for different purposes.
New dedicated APIs for financial reporting
New APIs for financial reporting will be released that can be used in both Excel, Power BI, or other reporting tools. As such, users will be able to use selected data stored in Business Central to create more detailed analyses based on GL data, accounting periods, ledger entries, and more. This means easier financial reporting using the tools of your choice.
