Microsoft Dynamics GP users will be seeing some changes in the upcoming years. The Human Resources and Payroll suites consist of four modules that provide existing functionality to Dynamics GP installations that will be discontinued in March of 2022. The four modules in question are:
Payroll Extensions - (Deduction in Arrears, Payroll Integration to Payables, and Overtime Rate Manager)
Advanced Payroll
Advanced Human Resources
PTO Manager
Microsoft will be removing the Human Resource and Payroll Suite (above listed modules) from Dynamics GP install in March 2022. If you already have a license for it, you will be able to continue to use the product and receive support, but Microsoft will discontinue providing support for this functionality in March 2023.
Please note that nothing is changing with the core Payroll and Human Resources products; they will continue to support the product through the end of the lifecycle. Microsoft will still deliver tax updates and year-end for Payroll. There is nothing you need to do right now – but if you use the above modules, please reach out to Crestwood Associates to ensure a smooth transition.
Year-End for GP
We have a few reminders for year-end (in case you somehow forgot it was coming up).
Don’t forget to join Crestwood’s popular annual GP year-end seminar. We’re forgoing in-person events this year again, and will only be hosting the online version. The content is still as good as ever, though, so sign up now!
Be sure if you use Payables form 1099, you’re compliant with the 2021 IRS changes to 1099-NEC. The year-end update for GP will include it, so those users who can apply that are all set. But anyone on GP 2016 or earlier needs a workaround.
The year-end update for our GP 2018 and newer folks is scheduled to release on 11/18. Reach out to Crestwood Associates to ensure that you’re good to go.
2022 is poised to be a big year for all of us – let’s send 2021 out right!
