Will there be 6,000 Microsoft Dynamics supporters in Tampa next month?
It is less than 6 weeks before the big Summit 2016 event and as of last week both GPUG Summit and CRMUG Summit are 50% ahead of registration numbers compared to this time last year.
is the premier educational conference for Dynamics AX, Dynamics CRM, Dynamics GP and Dynamics NAV Customers. It is a compilation of four distinct conferences under one roof, AXUG Summit, CRMUG Summit, GPUG Summit, and NAVUG Summit.
These events started small, but have seen huge increases in the past few years.
Attendance from Summit 2014 in St Louis to Summit 2015 in Reno jumped 29%. Summit 2015 had 4,100 attendees total. This year the goal is 6,000 attendees.
According to event organizers, this year GPUG Summit will likely be the largest group for the first time. In the past AXUG Summit has always had the highest attendance. AXUG has been around the longest. The first AXUG event was in 2004 the first GPUG event was in 2007.
Convergence and Dynamics 365
Now that Microsoft has cancelled the annual Dynamics Convergence event more users and partners will be drawn to the Summit user group events.
Plus Summit 2016 will host the much anticipated release of Dynamics 365 on Tuesday October 11th. Although event organizers honestly do not feel that this will greatly impact attendance as marketing for this started quite late. And according to from Dynamics Communities, “Attendees are coming for the existing Dynamics products. Of course they are interested to hear about Dynamics 365 but it will not the main focus. In fact, after the Dynamics 365 release on Tuesday there are no sessions at GPUG Summit related to the new product.”
There is still time to register for GPUG Summit 2016 in Tampa Florida October 11-14.
