Before and After: Manufacturing Company Goes From QuickBooks to Acumatica Cloud ERP

The CAL Business Solutions team recently worked with a New York-based manufacturing company that serves the pharmaceutical industry.

They were using:

  • QuickBooks for financials.
  • Goldmine for CRM.
  • A custom built Bill of Materials program.
  • Forecasting and production scheduling were done manually.

They selected Acumatica Cloud ERP because of the robust manufacturing functionality. Now, they have one integrated Cloud-based system for financials, CRM, manufacturing, and distribution.

This client is especially happy because:

  • The information from QuickBooks and Goldmine was able to be converted into Acumatica, so they have information going back several years and do not need to refer back to their old system.
  • They no longer have to retype information into multiple systems and have a complete view of the customer.
  • The Acumatica system dramatically increased their manufacturing capabilities. In the past, they did not have much beyond bill of materials and production workforce. With Acumatica they have been able to utilize a full feature manufacturing system including Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) and automated production scheduling.
