With news of software companies in the TMS space consolidating or even closing their doors, such as Trimble’s recent announcement regarding closing TMS provider Kubix, vendors and customers are looking for indications of where the transportation management software space is going next.

At a high level, transportation software offerings continue to be shaped by geo economic trends like increased competition, higher customer expectations, supply chain disruptions, and delayed deliveries.

ISV vendors in the Dynamics ERP channel are experiencing the “Microsoft Effect” first-hand ! The ever-accelerating offering of cumulative and version updates coming out of the Microsoft Business Applications group with new features, bug fixes, and other updates on a near-monthly basis make it difficult for solutions that are “All Things To All People”.
