2020 is here! A new year and a new millennium. As the holidays end, and working begins, it’s hard to devote your or your employees’ time to the mundane tasks of years before. ERP solutions have chiseled away at time wasting tasks throughout the years, but in the wake of 2020, we want to know what’s coming next. Will we see a jump in the manufacturing industry? Does the new decade have room for outdated systems? Here’s what we think:

There will be an increase in ERP systems replacing outdated manufacturing management systems that had little to no technology involved. Though we may not see the entirety of the industry converted to ERP business solutions within the year, we will see a jump that out does years past.

A study done in 2017 by Kiwook Jung found that there has been an upswing in the abilities of manufacturing plants to convert themselves to more technologically advanced business solutions. With greater drive to compete with smart manufacturing, and the changing demands of clients, it’s becoming more and more prevalent to manufacturing companies that ERP solutions are no longer a luxury, but rather a necessity. According to the 2019 Warehouse/DC Operations survey, 23% of manufactures are looking to make this change, compared to the 15% of 2019. In addition to this, 45% now believe that switching to more modern technology is a must have for the coming years.

In light of this coming change, manufacturing, and ERP partners will need to prepare for the shift. For more information on this topic, please visit: https://trinsoft.com/services/manufacturing-experts/ or contact TrinSoft today at info@trinsoft.com.
