SUMMIT 2019 – Sessions to Attend as a GP HR and Payroll (or wanna be*) UserDynamics Communities is hosting the 2019 Microsoft Dynamics® User Group Summit this year from October 15-18. If you haven’t registered already, it’s not too late to do so. We will be there in full force to meet you and listen to what you need and want for a better HR and Payroll experience!

GP HR and Payroll Sessions Galore!

It wouldn’t be Summit a without a great line-up of sessions…and with 10 GP HR and Payroll sessions – that’s pretty intense coverage! As always, our team is assisting with GP Payroll and HR expertise so come check out all or some of these sessions to beef up your knowledge.

Wednesday, October 16

The first day of the conference kicks off with three sessions. Let’s GO!

9:45 - 10:45 AM: 50 Tips in 50 minutes

Microsoft’s Terry Heley will be running through GP 2018, giving you tips on how to get more out of your HR and Payroll solution – pulling your payroll reports together, ways to save time during your payroll process and understanding benefit tracking with ACA.

2 - 3 PM: What’s New in HR & Payroll – from Dynamics GP to the 2020 W-4, EEO-1 Reporting and More

Our very own Tom Franz will be joining Terry to bring you up to speed on changes to the W-4 and EEO-1, ACA, and FLSA changes. They will also show you what new features you may be missing in GP HR and Payroll.

4:30 - 5:30 PM: Check out what Human Resources Has to Offer You

Terry will be showing you how to set up the HR module rather than just using the Payroll module and what smartlist reports to use for HR once you set it up.

Thursday, October 17

OK, we’re still excited here so let’s keep going with four sessions!

8 - 9 AM: Techniques in Payroll and Human Resources to Make Your Job Easier

Join Michael Zerr as he shares his tips and techniques that will make you a successful user of the HR and Payroll modules.

9:30 - 10:30 AM: Payroll Reporting Options

Join Nancy Klatt and Dennis Day to review some hidden reporting gems that can make you the payroll information rock star in your organization.

1:30 - 2:30 PM: Payroll and HR Month-End, Quarter-End Processes

Join Jackie Reckmann and Sherlene Sorenson to learn what is involved with basic reporting for Payroll and HR, and how to verify taxable wages are correct for quarter-end and year-end reporting.

4:15 - 5:15 Vendor or Employee: That is the question!

Join Molly Van Kampen to review the compliance requirements for determining whether a worker is an employee or an independent contractor along with the payment, withholding, reporting, and record keeping requirements for each.

Friday, October 18

Yes, getting up early after a night of partying can be tough but hey, it’s the last day – let’s get in three more sessions before heading home!

*8:30 - 9:30 AM: Why aren’t you using GP and Payroll/HR?!

Join Jennifer Hershberger and Darlene Brister to learn how to use GP to process payroll, highlighting the set-up process and the pay day process. They will also discuss why many users outsource and why that may not be the best choice for an organization.

9:45 - 10:45 AM: HR/PR Customer Panel Discussion

Led by Terry Heley and Jackie Reckmann, this session will focus on hearing what other customers say about using GP Payroll and HR and get some tips from these experts!

1:15 - 2:15 PM: Don’t Get Sick Over Tracking Your Time and Attendance

Charles Allen will cover the three tools available for Dynamics GP to track attendance.

Lastly, a handy dandy tip: build your own Summit calendar directly from the conference schedule – you can filter by track, presentation type, level or just do a search with keywords and voila!
