The Top 6 Reasons I Love Working at AKA

As I approach another milestone at AKA, I’ve been reflecting on what I love about working for AKA and why I’m so glad the recruiter for Green Beacon Solutions (acquired by AKA in 2016) chose to offer me a consulting position almost four years ago. I started my first job out of college as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 consultant at AKA Enterprise Solutions and truly believe I couldn’t have found a better company to work for.

Here are the top 6 reasons I love working for AKA Enterprise Solutions:

When you first graduate from college, it’s hard to know what sort of work environment you’ll thrive in. Maybe you want to try living in a big city, working from home, or even traveling for work while seeing the world. At AKA, the possibilities are endless when it comes to where, when, and how you work. Flexibility is always a good thing and that’s what I’ve found at AKA. Working for a technology company has many advantages in today’s technology-driven culture; the software we support allows us to provide value to our clients and stay connected from anywhere. Some client engagements require a team on-site at all times, while others allow our team members to work from home. Currently, I’m splitting my time between working from home and traveling for client meetings. This is a wonderful balance, and one for which I’m grateful.

As part of AKA’s Presidents’ Club program, I’ve had the chance to take a beach vacation with my husband for the past two years. Despite this, though, AKA ensures that employees feel like they’re part of a larger company culture. Teams meet via video conference on a regular basis, employees in the same geographic area meet for quarterly dinners and there are always bonding activities and remote exercises within the company. Our annual party at AKA’s headquarters in New York City is something we all look forward to. While we may be spread across North America, I still manage to experience a sense of community with my coworkers and ‘see’ them on a regular basis.
