The Technical Assessment comprises three phases: collecting data, analyzing data, and presenting our findings. We rely on performance monitoring tools, including Microsoft admin tools, event logs, and third-party utilities, such as the Performance analyzer for Microsoft Dynamics (DynamicsPerf) and PAL (Performance Analysis of Logs). Using these tools, our technicians review your AX configuration, application server, SQL Server performance and database configuration, storage performance and settings, network bandwidth, operating system settings, and other critical aspects of your environment.

 

In the light version of the assessment, we check all these settings against established norms and best practices to identify anomalies that may be impacting performance. In the full version of the assessment, we install performance counters that monitor system activity for up to 30 days, to spot trends and variations in performance that might not be apparent in a simple snapshot.

 

Based on the results, our technicians prepare a Technical Finding Report, which identifies remediation actions/plans and provides recommendations to improve performance. Finally, our team conducts knowledge transfer to your internal IT team in case further explanation is necessary.
