The development team at Microsoft has confirmed that the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics GP will be released on December 1, 2016. GP 2016 R2 will feature improvements addressing:

From here on out, we will see a slower release schedule than in the past. New releases and features will now be made annually instead of every few months. This will give users more time to schedule, conduct, and budget for upgrades.
Microsoft also released the roadmap for GP, which has GP 2018 set to release in 2017. They are currently taking suggestions for updates for this release, which you can submit here connect.microsoft.com.
