Four Tips for Attending Convergence 2014

If you didn’t go to Microsoft Dynamics Convergence this year, I’d like to offer a few quick tips that will help you justify going to Convergence 2014.

1. Improve your ROI for investing in Microsoft Dynamics. If you know you are going to be making additional investments in MS Dynamics in 2014, Convergence is the place to get answers to all your questions and establish connections to resources that can help you stretch your investment dollars. Often, Microsoft offers a discount for Convergence attendees.  For 2013, they offered 20% discount on additional GP, NAV and SL users and/or modules meeting a minimum System Price List value of USD $2,400.
2. Get Expert Answers to your Questions. In 2013, there were over 100 experts from Microsoft R&D participating in instructor-led sessions and round table discussions at Convergence. Be prepared for these discussions and make a list during the year of those annoying issues or questions that keep popping up; go to Convergence 2014 looking for answers.
3. Build your Microsoft Dynamics Resource Network. You can learn just as much over a quick snack with other attendees as you do during a planned session. Pack some extra cushions for your shoes and plan to walk and talk more than you have at any other event. There were over 11,000 attendees expected at Convergence in 2013. Some have had similar experiences to you and others will open your eyes to things you didn’t know were possible. Be willing to share your experience with them and you’ll get a lot more than you give at Convergence 2014.
4. Come home with an action plan. Gather as much information as possible while you’re at Convergence but don’t forget to schedule time when you get back home to focus in on the topics that interested your most. Convergence might only last for one week, but you can maintain its momentum for the rest of the year by taking a few minutes to collect your thoughts and creating an action plan.
